Recording the Screen

• Go totocata
• startcygwin
• typestartx
• connect to your computerssh -Y username@machine
• selectmenu-> all_programs -> camtasia studio -> applications -> camtasia recorder
• selectregion (window orfixed region)
• press record button
• you will be asked to select the desired region
• do whatever you want to show and when finished press the stop button (or right click in the camtasia icon (red ball) in the lower left side of the screen.
  • Remember you may record your voice while recording
• if you like the result presssave
• thenedit my recording
• here you may add captions (edit-> captions)
• when done selectproduce -> produce video as...
  • the defaults are usually OK and will produce video updimized for web
