7 1. Convert CML configuration file (yaml) to Network Sketcher master file

What you can do with this procedure

  • Export configuration diagrams (YAML format) from Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) and have Network Sketcher read them into a master file. image

    • ver 2.1.0 supports only L1 diagram

Procedure

  1. Export from CML to YAML file

    1. Login to CML and select the target configuration diagram from the Dashboard
    2. Select the "SIMULATE" tab on the displayed configuration chart screen
    3. Click the "DOWNLOAD LAB" button to download the yaml file. image

  2. Conversion to master file

    1. Drag and drop CML yaml file to Network Sketcher's Main Panel
    2. An Excel master file with [MASTER] in the file name is generated. image
