- Yerevan Tree Map, an installation of this software.
- Yerevan Observer, an accompanying YouTube channel with street snapshots, used for monitoring and mapping.
- NYC Tree Map
- Edinburgh Tree Map
- London Street Trees. Has around 1.1M trees from total 8M trees of London. Uses vector tiles, with tree data apparently embedded into tiles, which makes it blazingly fast. No photos, but they embed Google Street View instead. The data comes from various local authorities, aggregated by Ordnance Survey.
- Melbourne Tree Map
- All Trees in the Netherlands
- Treezilla (UK)
- Leeds Tree Map
- FIS-Broker, a German database.
- Giess den Kiez, another German database.
- OpenTrees.org, a map with "significant" trees, not fully working.
- OpenTreeMap.org, the software behind the NYC Tree Map, etc.
- OpenTreeMap at GitHub
- Open Tree Logger, another abandoned tree map. Shows a bunch of trees with their ids, that's all.
Some helpful software not specific to trees:
- StreetComplete, update OSM maps on the go.
- Mapilio, open street view like service.
- Mapillary, an open street view services. The recommended 360° device is GoPro Max.
- streeet.art, a map of street art.
- Consumer grade GPS precision is around ±6 m in urban area, which is not suitable for precision mapping. There are technologies like GNSS/RTK and apparently some devices that use that technology, but it is not clear if this is possible to use with a phone. There are industrial devices which cost thousands of dollars, so likely not for the average hobbyist mapper.
