Mapping best practices

It's a lot of fun to walk around the streets, adding trees to the map using a phone, but that's not the best approach, as it's quite slow, too much time is spent clicking around, and the phone battery drains. The guys from OSM developed the following approach to map a place with the highest efficiency:

• Prepare a list of streets to map.
• Print parts of the map on paper, using Field Papers.
• Take the printed papers to the field, make notes.
• Come back home, use your laptop or any other device to add the data to the database.

The phone is still the most convenient way of correcting data on existing trees.
