Money
ACM usually contacts Deepak Khazanchi and Subu for things like programming competition pizza/prizes, hackathon trips, and ICPC. Go through them to fund events that you don’t need to have sponsored by companies. Any event that uses their funding, it could be considered a UNO/department affiliated events (pros and cons), and any leftover money will be put back into the Dean’s office funds.
Money can be raised by contacting companies to sponsor an event (like HackUNO), or holding a fundraiser.
A list of companies contacts can be found in the HackUNO drive. You DO NOT need to involve Deepak Khazanchi with any fundraising or contacting of companies. Alex Young will attest to this.
ACM hosts a LAN party every spring semester in February/March. Entry is usually $25 for food, and $20 the day off, but without food. Advertising for this needs to go up at the beginning of the semester on both campuses.
ACM has a Student Organization Account at Milo Bail. This account is used to reimburse officers/volunteers for events and club spending. You have to go to Milo Bail to pick up a reimbursement form, fill it out, and bring it back.
Held by the treasurer. Keep careful track of this money via an excel spreadsheet in the officer drive.
