Hackathons
University of Nebraska at Omaha Hackathon (ours!) http://hackuno.com/ GitHub Repository: https://github.com/unoacm/HackUNO-Website.
We had around 40 people show up, with many sponsors including First National Bank of Omaha, Conagra, Maverick Productions, and Orion.
Generally, advertising for the event should start 6 months before the event takes place. This means that a venue needs to be booked, fliers need to be made, companies have already been contacted, and the website updated. If you want MLH sponsorship, they need to be contacted 4 months before the event. More info about previous years and retro’s containing notes about what went well/didn’t can be found on the drive.
