An envelope describes how a sound changes over time. An envelope can interact with different audio parameters like gain
and pitch
.
This is how the GridSound gain envelope looks like:
The graphic is showing the envelope and behind there are some black lines representing the beats. All the time values are related to the BPM of the composition.
There is 5 settings:
- 1️⃣ Attack: the time (in beat) taken for the sound to rise from
0%
to100%
. - 2️⃣ Hold: the time (in beat) the sound stays at
100%
(by default it's0
). - 3️⃣ Decay: the time (in beat) taken for the sound to reduce from
100%
to thesustain
percentage. - 4️⃣ Sustain: the percentage maintained until the key is released.
- 5️⃣ Release: the time (in beat) taken for the sound to fade away,
0%
. 🅰️ gain

andpitch
envelopes.
Each tab has its own toggle button to activate.
