Installation tutorial (1.6.1)

Installing the mod

• Install git for your OS: https://git-scm.com/downloads
• Go to the Github project: https://github.com/Rubiksman78/MonikA.I
• Go to Releases and download:
  • Monik.A.I-game-version.zip
  • Monik.A.I-version.zip from the Drive link
• Unzip MonikA.I-game-version.zip and put it in your DDLC folder, at the same level as the existing game (they have to merge together)

Setup the main script

• Unzip Monik.A.I-version.zip at the location you want (avoid putting it in your DDLC folder)
• Double click setup_gpu.bat if you have a GPU setup with Nvidia,CUDA,cudNN and want to use it for faster execution (Reminder: Be sure to have setup the Nvidia Drivers, CUDA 11.7 (download the 11.7 version and not another one) and the corresponding cudNN (tutorial here) )
• Download the Tortoise TTS models in this drive if you want to use it and put the two folders inside the zip in your folder C:/Users/YourName/.cache/
• Double click update.bat to update this folder
• Double click run.bat that will call automatically main.py and begin to play (same for voice.bat that will call voicing.py). If you intend to use chatbots, be sure to follow the instructions on this page beforehand.

Update new versions

To update to versions coming after 1.6.1, you'll just have to:

• Double click update.bat if there is a new version announced, you won't need to download the zip again thanks to this
• Download the latest Monik.A.I-game-version.zip in Releases or use the Auto Updater directly in MAS.

You can run the updater if there are some bugs too, they might have been fixed with an update.
