Migration from v1.0-alpha

I you have already installed the alpha release, just grab the beta archive, extract it and replace all files in your Gmail Notifier directory: the application will use the previous google api token file.

Installation

As the previous alpha release, this beta version is delivered as a portable version, without any setup installer. You need to manually extract the .zip archive. The executable is released in 32 bits (x86) / 64 bits (x64) and is developed and tested on Windows 7: many other windows operating systems may work, but are not extensively tested for the moment. You need to have the .NET Framework 4.5.2 install on your machine.

Startup

On the first startup, the application need to access your gmail account: you will be invited to login to your account in your browser. This step is essential for the good running of Gmail notifier.

Logout

You can now logout your Gmail account from the application by simply clicking on the Disconnect button in the account tab. Gmail notifier will stay active in the list of authorized applications on your google account.
