ubuntu 20.04 was deprecated

  • python 3 breaks because ubuntu 22.04 provides python 3.10, which is backwards incompatible. Only the tests are affected, and an change to try to load both is possible
  • python2 breaks because the python2 packages are missing. probably needs to be replaced by pip

I there something like latest or stable instead of having to use a name?

using latest tends to break things when least expected, so I'd rather not to that, even for master. For yangtze it's ill-advised because of the python2 setup
