In this tutorial you will see how to create from scratch an Angular 8 application, a Node JS server using Socket IO and communicate them. We show how to use SSL and set it ready to use it in your server.

Run ng serve
for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/
. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.
Move to the folder src/assets
and then run node server.js
to run the server application, which will listen for socket communications. This will listen in port 3000. Make sure it's available.
Run ng generate component component-name
to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module
.
Run ng build
to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/
directory. Use the --prod
flag for a production build.
Run ng test
to execute the unit tests via Karma.
Run ng e2e
to execute the end-to-end tests via Protractor.
