πŸŽ“ SEU Unfiltered

A community-driven platform built by a Southeast University (SEU) alumnus to solve the real academic and communication struggles faced by students. This tool empowers current and future SEU students to make informed decisions, find guidance, and share experiences β€” anonymously and safely.

πŸ” Why This Exists

During my time at SEU, I faced challenges like:

  • Not knowing which courses to take next
  • Struggling to find faculty reviews
  • No central source for past papers or survival tips
  • Having no voice to safely report problems

SEU Unfiltered aims to solve those problems β€” permanently.

βš™οΈ Core Functionalities

πŸ§‘β€πŸ« Faculty Review System

Rate. Review. Remember.

  • Students can anonymously review any faculty member.
  • Rate based on teaching clarity, fairness, availability, and grading.
  • All reviews are moderated automatically to remove spam or toxicity.
  • Faculty pages show cumulative ratings and course history.

🧾 Anonymous Report Submission

Speak up without fear.

  • Drop anonymous reports related to unfair treatment, misconduct, or complaints.
  • Built-in message filtering discards harmful or invalid submissions.
  • Reports are categorized (faculty, admin, infrastructure, etc.) for clarity.
  • Seniors or trusted users help flag/report major issues.

πŸ’‘ Batchmate Tips Archive

Learn from those who came before you.

  • Students can submit tips on specific courses, teachers, thesis projects, etc.
  • Think: β€œHow to survive XYZ course,” or β€œWhich electives are easiest?”
  • Tips are searchable and rankable by usefulness.

πŸ› οΈ Trouble Ticket System (Unofficial)

Got stuck with a weird university issue?

  • A place to log and browse common student problems (like advising issues, ID delays, etc.).
  • Users can comment or share how they solved similar issues.
  • Not officially linked with SEU β€” purely peer-powered help.

πŸŽ’ First Year Survival Kit

Make life easier for freshers.

  • Guides for navigating course registration, grading systems, campus layout.
  • FAQ-style entries: β€œWhere do I get my ID?”, β€œWhat happens if I fail a course?” etc.
  • Crowdsourced advice from seniors and alumni.

πŸ“š Resource Sharing Hub

Past papers, slides, cheat sheets β€” all in one place.

  • Upload/download study resources, organized by course code.
  • Materials are student-contributed and can be flagged if outdated or incorrect.
  • Support for semester-wise filtering and tagging.

🀝 Exam & Project Mentor Matching

Seniors and alumni helping juniors.

  • Alumni/seniors can optionally register as mentors for certain courses or project topics.
  • Students can reach out for guidance β€” either anonymously or directly.
  • Star-rating system to highlight helpful mentors.

🚧 Project Status

Currently in early development. Prioritizing:

  • Basic backend and database setup (Node.js + MongoDB or Firebase)
  • Anonymous review/report systems
  • Frontend interface (React or Next.js)

Contributions are welcome!

πŸ“Œ Tech Stack (Planned)

  • Frontend: React.js / Next.js
  • Backend: Node.js + Express
  • Database: MongoDB (or Firebase Realtime DB)
  • Authentication: Optional anonymous + Google Auth
  • Hosting: Vercel / Render / Railway (free-tier friendly)
