  1. PART I. Of the Motives of Incredulity which ſpring from the inward Diſpoſition or Inclinations of Unbelievers.

    _ CHAP. I. That it is unreaſonable and unjuſt to reject the Chriſtian Religion, becauſe it is contrary to the Diſpoſitions a Man finds in himſelf.

    _ CHAP. II. That Pride may be the Cauſe why Aſſent is not granted to the Proofs of the Truth of the Chriſtian Religion.

    _ CHAP. III. That what keeps Ʋnbelievers from yielding to the Proofs of the Chriſtian Religion, partly conſiſts perhaps in mere Prejudices, which all the while may be falſe.

    _ CHAP. IV. That many are Ʋnbelievers, becauſe they know not how to reaſon rightly.

    _ CHAP. V. That the Neglect of ſearching into Truth is often the Cauſe of Incredulity.

    _ CHAP. III. That Ʋnbelievers are in the wrong for rejecting the Chriſtiam Religion, becauſe Intereſt ſeems to be the Cauſe of moſt Peoples Devotion.

    _ CHAP. IV. That the Diviſions reigning among Chriſtians ſhould not hinder any from believing that the Chriſtian Religion is true.

    _ CHAP. V. That the Incredulous object in vain, that Chriſtianity being ſo little known, and ſo ill obſerv'd, is not ſo uſeful to Mankind as a Religion reveal'd by God in favour of all Men ought to be.

    _ CHAP. VI. That Ʋnbelievers can't conclude that the Chriſtian Religion is falſe, becauſe the Divines, whom they know, anſwer not their Objections well, or maintain ſome falſe Doctrines, as true ones, and as being the Doctrine of Chriſt.

    _ CHAP. VII. That the Difficulties which may occur in the Chriſtian Religion, ought not to make any doubt of the Truth thereof.

    _ LETTER I. Wherein is prov'd the Sincerity of the Apoſtles in the Teſtimony they bore to the Reſurrection of Chriſt.

    _ LETTER II. Wherein is ſhew'd what a Miracle is, and that we ought to conclude from thoſe of Chriſt and his Apoſtles, that they were truly ſent of God.
