Here's a printable calendar generator you can use to jot down notes for the year and month. For the "Year-at-a-glance" option, you can choose the layout to be same or different side of the paper. It prints on one sheet of paper. For the "Monthly" option it generates each month on its own page and has a "Notes" sidebar. You can choose your own paper size, though certain sizes may work better than others.
