I spend most of my professional career writing/reading Python and C++, but my Open Source work is almost exclusively in Rust. I've build a lot of Domain knowledge Data Engineering and writing Memory efficient and cache friendly code. My current Focus is to provide Rust with first class bindings for ODBC to make a wide variaty of Data Sources accessible to Rust programs. I do not get paid for my Open Source work, and do spend a lot of my spare time on it. I try to provide a great user experience, through both API Design and Documentation, so any thank you is greatly appreciated and means much to me.

SelectFrom my experience, it is really unlikely this kind of gift will ever allow me to quit the day job and to focus only on my Open Source work. Yet, besides money, I have to say, it feels nice if the work is appreciated.
