- Download or clone this repository
- Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/ - Enable "Developer mode" (toggle in the top-right corner)
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the extension directory
- The Refiner icon should now appear in your browser toolbar
Before using Refiner, you need to set up your Gemini API key:
- Get a Gemini API key from Google AI Studio
- Click the Refiner extension icon in your browser toolbar
- Enter your API key in the settings page
- Click "Save"
- Navigate to any website with text input fields
- Click on a text field where you want to enhance text
- Type or paste your text
- Look for the "Enhance" button near the text field
- Click the button to refine your text
- The enhanced version will replace your original text
- Google Chrome browser (version 88 or higher recommended)

Refiner uses Google's Gemini 1.5 Flash model to provide high-quality text enhancements. The extension communicates securely with the Gemini API and works on most common text input fields across the web.

- No text data is stored by the extension after processing
