This project was completed as part of the Tata Data Visualisation: Empowering Business with Effective Insights job simulation on the Forage platform in July 2025. The objective was to analyze large-scale retail data, uncover business insights, and present executive-ready visualizations for leadership decision-making.
As a data analyst intern, I was tasked with delivering insights that would inform business strategy using Tableau. I analyzed over 12,000+ rows of retail transaction data, designed 4 distinct visualizations, and compiled an executive dashboard based on key questions from the CEO and CMO.
- Tableau – for data visualization and dashboard design

- Executive Communication – writing business questions & presentations
- Prepared 4 stakeholder-specific questions:
- CEO → Focused on seasonality and revenue trends
- CMO → Targeted geographical performance and market expansion
- Completed an applied quiz focused on data storytelling and visual cognition.
- Learned when and why to choose the most effective chart types based on the audience, purpose, and complexity of the data — applying core visualization principles like clarity, comparison, and simplicity.

- Line Chart – Monthly revenue trends
📈 Insight: Revenue grew by 40% from August to November, peaking at $1.5M - Bar Chart (excluding UK) – Top 10 countries by revenue
🌍 Insight: Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, France show highest growth potential - Color-Graded Comparison – Top 10 customers
👥 Insight: Low revenue dependence on single buyers (only 17% variance) - Map Chart – Regional sales overview

- Recorded a final walkthrough video explaining:
