Many marine activities are dependent on the weather. Sea Watch offers up-to-date weather conditions to the marine community including fisher people, sailors, and researchers.
Checklist to build your own Sea Watch application:
- Clone repository
- NPM dependencies (express, superagent, CORS, method-override, pg, dotenv)
- Create PostgresSQL database and connect
- Create tables and database using schema.sql commands
- Gather APIs. See API Documentation below
- Run nodemon and open browser to localhost:3000
- Deploy to Heroku or preferred platform
- Heroku - Cloud application platform
- NPM - Package manager
- PostgresSQL - Object-relational database
