Rootstock Reown AppKit Example using wagmi (Next.js with App Router)

This project demonstrates the integration of Reown's AppKit with a Next.js application utilizing the App Router. The wagmi library provides essential hooks for interacting with wallets like MetaMask and WalletConnect, allowing developers to focus on building their decentralized applications (dApps) rather than managing low-level blockchain interactions.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have the following tools installed:

• Node.js (v19.x or later)
• Bun (v1.1.x or later) or Yarn (recommended for Next.js projects)

How to Use

1. Clone the Repository

   git clone https://github.com/rsksmart/reown-next-starter-kit.git
   cd reown-next-starter-kit

2. Install Dependencies

   yarn install # or bun install

3. Configure Environment Variables

   • Rename .env.example to .env.local.

   • Obtain your Project ID from Reown Cloud and add it to the .env.local file.

   • Add your Rootstock Mainnet RPC URL and Rootstock Testnet RPC URL to the .env.local file. Get your RPC from RPC API

4. Run the Application

   yarn dev # or bun run dev

Troubleshooting

• RPC Connection Issues: Verify that the RPC URLs are reachable and correct.
• Wallet Connection Issues: Check if MetaMask is installed and the wallet is connected to the Rootstock Testnet.
