Getting Started

Database Setup

This project uses PostgreSQL with Prisma for data storage.

yarn db:setup

Running the Application

Run the development server:

yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

Caching System

The application implements a database caching system for text-to-color conversions:

• First-time requests are processed by OpenAI and stored in the database
• Subsequent identical requests (case-insensitive) are served from the database cache
• Conversation-based requests (with history) bypass the cache completely

This reduces API costs and improves response times for common queries.
