The failure seems 3.8 specific... So given #6 drops support for 3.8 we would get rid of that problem: not intellectually satisfying because we don't why it fails but would definitely make things easier. |

Side benefit: this will run the CI at 'fairly' regular interval and may help catch errors due to deprecated things in the dependencies.
