This adjustment to the release workflow will simplify our release process, so that publishing a release on GitHub automatically triggers a new release on PyPI. This eliminates the need to maintain a separate release branch. The workflow was written using this guide.

This also ensures that the distribution file we upload to PyPI is compliant with PEP 625.
