@calebkiage besides the CLA issue, there are others things that need adjustments:

  • it's using the snapshot suffix for some reason, it shouldn't
  • it's bumping the patch version instead of the minor
    Can you look into that when you have a couple of minutes please?

@baywet, this is the convention followed by the bot for Java projects. See https://github.com/googleapis/release-please/blob/main/docs/java.md

I'll switch to using the simple strategy here to avoid that behavior.
