This repository tracks project proposals for Marian Scientific. A "Request for Proposals" (RFP) is a document outlining the objectives of a project, seeking a number of competitive proposals (bids) from organization members. Records of past and present RFPs are archived alongside all corresponding proposals submitted.
An "Unsolicited Proposal" (UP) is a project plan proposed by a member of the organization that fulfills some goal in line with the organization, seeking funding, technical support, and a formal project ID number. Being independently proposed, a UP is inherently noncompetitive and therefore has reduced criteria for approval. Records of submitted UPs are archived below.
A productive proposal is succinct MP00, no more than 500 words, but containing the following information:
- Planned schedule of all intermediate and final deliverables. Contract award preference will be given to proposals with aggressive schedules. Schedules must adhere to MP02 and MP03.
- Estimated budget for materials and labor. Contract award preference will be given to proposals with competitive budgets.
- Efficient outline of the proposed solution to the problem outlined in the RFP. Contract award preference will be given to sensible and coherent action plans, especially those that are novel in nature per MP05.
Final terms of the contract award are subject to approval and may deviate from those listed in the proposal.
