i was thinking of a floating (tooltip) mini-board, but this is good. we don't want to change page layout on hover though. if it resizes a container, you should have a clickable disclosure control to reveal the board preview. that way mobiles could use it as well. win win

I fail to see the point of showing the miniboard? The position is already on the screen

The game could be in progress, but then players already know how to see the initial position: with the |< button

in that case just the redirect to analysis board should be removed and only the position number should be shown, should i make the changes?
