Power BI Sales & Profit Analysis Dashboard 📊

This project is a comprehensive Power BI dashboard that analyzes sales performance, revenue trends, and profit margins across multiple markets and years. It provides interactive insights to help stakeholders understand how different regions, products, and customers contribute to overall business performance.


Problem-Statement of this Project

Problem statement of Project-1:

AtliQ Hardware is company which supplies computer hardware peripherals to many of the cleints they have this client called Excel stores, Normad stores, Surges stores, Electricalsara store across India and they supply these equipment to them now AtliQ Hardware has head office in Delhi india and they have a lot of regional offices throughout the India , now bhavan patel is a sale director of this company and he is facing a lot of challenges and the challenge is that the marketing is growing dynamically and he is facing issues in term of tracking the sales in this dynamically growing market and he is having issues of insight of his buissness so he has this regional managers for north ,south, central India, whenever he wants to insights of this region he would call this people and on the phone these regional managers give him some insights like okay this was the sales last quarter and we will grow this much by the next quarter

the problem is the conversation that is happening is all verbal, and they managers have habit that they paint a rosy picture,they are try to sugarcoat the facts ,bhaval is frustrated because over all sales is declining and regional manager is leing and when he ask for numbers they give hi alot of excels files as this AtliQ hardware is pretty big buissness and have so many cleints , so bhaval is frustated he wants them to tell the point to the ponit where is the weakesst area ,where we need to focus, so if there is region where sales declining so we can promotion offfers and we can engagae with costumer in more better way, so we can increase ourselves, so he is intrested in getting simple ,understandable ,digestable insights but waht these are giving is so many excel files so as we human can consumes so much numbers , so there is saying :A picture is worth Thousand words, so he is more intrested in dashboard, so he can go and look real data, bcz data will speak the truth, comes in visualization so he can see charts and see how the numbers are trending and he can also set monthly email reminders where end of month powerbi can sent him email say tis ia ow buissness look in term of revenue ,customers and so on so that willno requires bhavin so call managers and so what information hes getting is the actual informantion so as a sales director he can make data-Driven decisions, so this help him to increase his sales for this company.

so after he call some people in this data industry and they use AIMS grid for purpose of this project, To unlock the Sales insights that are not visible before for sales team for decision support & automate them to reduce manual time spent in data gathering

An automated dashborad providing quick & latetest sales insights in order to support data driven desision making

Success Criteria:

1-Dashborad uncovering sales under insights with latest data available

2-Sales team able to take better desision & and prove 10% cost saving of total spend

3-sales analysis stop gathering data manually in order to save 20 % of their buissness timeand reinvest valued added

so now call teams data anlyst and software enginner we call them as falcon they have simple sales management system simple software that keep track of all number so all data record in mysql database and this system print invoice of sales so this database and sytem is own by falcons team

so data anlyst team called data masters will reach out falcon and say we want your database to built dashborad so middle source that connect both ids my sql so they say sure go head, also make sure when data volume is large so ur query of power bi dont effect sql database

so to avoid companies design data warehouse oltp: my sql called(online data transaction) ETL(extract transform and load) after transformation they store data in data ware house so transformation people used tool Aoache knife,python and pandas so you tranform formate of data into so we used analytical query in it , bcz if u want query to run directly in sql you slow down data base and it effect your mainstream buissness,second problem often in mysql data is not in formate to perform query so u have to remove colm and others so transformation handle by teams called Data Engineers and to maintain data warehouse infrastucture after that data master pull the data from data ware house and built power bi dashboard

Insights Derived

  • Delhi contributes more than 50% of the total revenue.
  • Bhubaneswar has the highest profit margin in 2020 (10.5%).
  • Lucknow shows negative profit margin, indicating losses.
  • Product Prod065 is a top seller, but many products are underperforming.
  • Customers like Electricalsara Stores are major revenue drivers.

Future Enhancements

  • Add dynamic currency conversion based on year and exchange rate
  • Drill-through for individual customer or product analysis
  • Profit target tracking with dynamic KPIs
