In fact, I wasn’t even aware of his existence when I chose it for a part of my username.
His "Kobe" is a given name; in my case, it's a surname — specifically, the Japanese surname 神戸, which is transliterated as Kobe in English.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE being called “Kobe Bryant” or any variation of his name — 10/10, do not do it, or you intentionally want to PMO, unless our friendship is strong enough to make fun with each other's name (note that being blocked is on you, not me).
