InterpretGO

Connects Deaf people and Interpreters for interpreting needs, 5.16.17

By Katy Daviscourt

Description

This web app allows both American Sign Language interpreters and Deaf clients to connect, find, and work together for events requiring interpreting. Deaf consumers will be able to make a request for an interpreter for a specific appointment, meeting, or event, and interpreters will be able to log in and accept or claim jobs.

Setup/Installation Requirements

  • Open project in Microsoft Visual Studio 2015
  • Right click on the project name and select "Build"
  • In the command line, navigate to the project within the "src" file (i.e, InterpretGO>src>InterpretGO)
  • Type in the command: "dotnet ef database update"
  • If you have trouble running the command "dotnet ef database update", try running "dotnet restore" first
  • Serve the project from VS using IIS Express

Known Bugs

Does not yet allow Deaf clients to request a specific interpreter.
