I am a product-focused software engineer who believes that technical excellence is the key to a successful software product. For me, this excellence is a blend of pragmatism, strong communication skills, a deep understanding of business problems, and the ability to craft well-sized solutions.
My foundation in software engineering began at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, but my passion for learning didn't stop there. Thanks to my restless spirit, I've independently built a diverse knowledge base, continuously learning new languages, frameworks, tools, and practices throughout my career.
My professional experience is primarily in distributed systems, with a focus on high-volume, highly available systems deployed across cloud, bare-metal, and on-premise environments. I also have a strong background in developing web servers capable of handling millions of requests.
I am proud to have a T-shaped profile, which combines my extensive technical knowledge with effective leadership skills. I believe in leading by example and always approaching my work with a proactive mindset.
Feel free to reach out to me or check out a more detailed resume on LinkedIn. I used to host a podcast (in ๐ช๐ธ) and recently I've been sharing JVM content on Telegram.
I am not a major contributor, but I always try to put my two cents on projects that I like. Remember to check my code contribution on github. For my last projects I have been using gitlab, so check also jdvr on gitlab
Aside from existing repositories here, I have submitted more than 40+ well-known code exercises solution to excercism.io, if you are considering me as a candidate it might worth the time to look at my public exercism profile.
