Pachhyan Hackathon

Overview

Pachhyan Hackathon is a major event organized to celebrate Nepal's cultural heritage through technology. It includes EthosHack, a 24-hour hackathon segment, aiming to bring together Nepalese students to innovate and collaborate.

Event Details

  • Date: 15th Ashad (8 am) to 16th Ashad (8 am)
  • Venue: CIT Hall, IOE, Pashchimanchal Campus, Pokhara

Prize Pool

  • Grand Prize: Rs. 15,000
  • Runner Up: Rs. 10,000

Guidelines

  • Projects should fit within the provided domain.
  • Final demonstrations must include presentations.
  • Teams must regularly update a common GitHub repository.
  • Winners will be decided by a judge panel.

Rules

  • Teams: 2-4 members.
  • All work must be done during the hackathon.
  • Libraries and open-source code are allowed with proper references.
  • Prizes are shared among team members.
  • The organizing committee's decisions are final.

Code of Conduct

  • Respect all participants and maintain a positive environment.
  • Prohibited behaviors: smoking, drinking, unethical actions.
  • No guests allowed except the core team.
  • Discrimination will lead to disqualification.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js (v14 or higher)
  • npm (v6 or higher)

Installation

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/i-ces/Pachhyan-Hackathon.git
cd Pachhyan-Hackathon

Install dependencies:

npm install

Running the Application

To start the development server:

npm start

The application will be available at http://localhost:3000.

Building for Production

To build the app for production:

npm run build

The build artifacts will be stored in the build/ directory.

Available Scripts

  • npm start: Runs the app in development mode.
  • npm run build: Builds the app for production.
  • npm run eject: Ejects the configuration files for customization.
