This repository hosts the nationally developed, open-source Quarto template for generating automated weekly malaria situation updates in Ethiopia. The tool is designed to streamline the creation of consistent, timely, and visually informative malaria bulletins, with a specific emphasis on sub-national adoption and use.
This Quarto-based template enables:

Automatic data importaiton and processing from routine malaria surveillance raw data.

Generation of weekly situation update with: Key indicators, informative summary update and dynamic inline values and plots.

Standardized formatting and layout for national and sub-national reporting.

Easy customization for regions or other diseases
- Clone or download this repository.
- Open the
.qmd
file in RStudio or any Quarto-supported editor. - Update the input data set path(s) and week of reporting.(the empty template of data set is included in the folder. Please don't change column names for easier execution of the code. if you do change column names, adjust the code accordingly)
- Render the document to PDF, HTML, or Word using Quarto’s rendering engine.
An example national Malariasituation report is included in the repository.
