Blokhouse

This project aims to be a easy and simple to use CMDB, build with a automation first approach. The goal should be to have an easy to setup CMDB with all your assets, which then can be filled and read with automation tools like ansible, puppet, ect. and custom REST-API scripts, depending on your infrastructure.

Quick start

git clone https://github.com/d4sw4r/blokhouse.git
cd blokhouse
docker compose up

(BUG: Maybe migrations take too long and a second inital start is required)

This will start the app container + database, and your application should be accessible at http://localhost:3000 .

ansible

# my-dynamic-inventory.yml
plugin: uri
url: http://localhost:3000/api/ansible
validate_certs: false

(See Ansible’s documentation on dynamic inventories for details.)

Getting Started

First, run the development server: Start a postgres server and add your connectionstring to env.local e.g.

NEXTAUTH_URL=http://localhost:3000
NEXTAUTH_SECRET="random-string"
DATABASE_URL=postgresql://myuser:mypassword@localhost:5432/mydatabase

Then update schema and seed the db:

npx prisma db push
npx prisma db seed

Now you can start your dev instance:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

There is a inital admin user: admin@example.com admin
