Stop the Clock!

React app game where you gain points by stopping the clock on the minute.

The purpose of this project is to increase my familiarity with React. A proof of concept for a game thought up be my friends and I.

The game records how many times you can stop the clock "perfectly" on the second. If you fail, the score and clock will be reset. You can choose your username and submit your score to the leaderboard, which is immediately updated after submitting.

All scoring and users are saved in the React state, no information is saved to a backend in its current form.

To run, you will need to install Node.js and node package manager (npm).

You can install with the following commands in Linux. Or use another method if desired.

sudo apt update

sudo apt install nodejs npm

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.

The page will reload when you make changes.
You may also see any lint errors in the console.

npm test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

See the section about deployment for more information.

npm run eject

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can't go back!
