Here is simply how to use Emergence.

To insert a node, you can use the insert menu, which will put a new node in the center of the workspace. You can also drag and drop a node from the toolbox on the left.

During the initialization of Emergence, 3 nodes are put in the workspace for new users to discover the dynamics of the nodes and their sockets and how to use them. Try dragging the round socket of the square node on the right and drop it on the X node for example. You'll see a miniature of the result printed on the square which is a horizontal gray-scale gradient.

To enlarge the result simply double-click the output node. A window will appear containing the resulting image described by the diagram. You can easily resize this window, the image is recalculated to fit in.

To go back to miniature mode, you can either double-click on the output node or simply close the window.

Some save files are provided in this repository, you can open them using Open in the file menu or using the ctrl + O shortcut.

You can save the result as a bitmap using the Export action in the file menu, the size of the images is determined by the user.
