We prototyped different external interfaces on autonomous vehicles (AVs) to explore the interaction between AVs and pedestrians in wheelchairs (PWs). We used the Unity3D game engine for the deployment of the simulations on the Oculus Quest VR system.

Autonomous-Vehicle--Wheelchair-User-Interaction

We implemented in total of eight scenes (two base scenes) in the Unity 3D game engine for this project. C# programming language has been used to control different objects of the unity scenes. This repository only contains the C# code files and Unity scene information for the project. Necessary assets and the full project will be shared upon request.

A preliminary research work of this project can be found here: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/341114858_Views_from_the_Wheelchair_Understanding_Interaction_between_Autonomous_Vehicle_and_Pedestrians_with_Reduced_Mobility/stats
