About:

Walmart is an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of supercenters, discount departmental stores, and grocery stores in the United States. Walmart has more than 100 million customers worldwide.

Business Problem:

The Management team at Walmart Inc. wants to analyze the customer purchase behaviour (specifically, purchase amount) against the customerโ€™s gender and the various other factors to help the business make better decisions. They want to understand if the spending habits differ between male and female customers: Do women spend more on Black Friday than men? (Assume 50 million customers are male and 50 million are female).

Analyzed 550,068 Walmart customer transactions focusing on demographic and purchase data.

๐†๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ ๐€๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ:75% of customers were male, with males spending more than females.

๐€๐ ๐ž ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ: 26-35 age group had the highest purchases at 39.92%, followed by 36-45 at 20%.

๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฌ: Product category 5 was the most popular, followed by categories 1 and 8.
