ASI-GO-4-HRM is an enhanced version of ASI-GO-3 that integrates a Hierarchical Reasoning Model (HRM) for efficient, local evaluation of generated solutions. This hybrid system combines the creative power of LLM-based code generation with the efficiency of neural reasoning, reducing API costs and improving evaluation consistency.
- Local HRM Evaluation: Fast, CPU-based evaluation without GPU requirements
- Multi-dimensional Assessment: Evaluates efficiency, readability, correctness, and generality
- Self-Improving: Learns from successful and failed solutions to improve over time
- Hybrid Architecture: Seamlessly falls back to LLM evaluation when needed
- Cost-Effective: Reduces API calls by 70-90% for common problems
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- Python: 3.8 - 3.10 (3.11+ may have compatibility issues)
- RAM: Minimum 4GB, Recommended 8GB
- Storage: 2GB free space for models and data
- CPU: Any modern x64 processor (no GPU required)

# At least one LLM provider is required
OPENAI_API_KEY=your-api-key-here
# Optional additional providers
GOOGLE_API_KEY=your-google-api-key
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=your-anthropic-api-key
# Optional proxy configuration

First-time setup to download and initialize HRM components:
python initialize_hrm.py
This will:
- Download pre-trained HRM base models (about 50MB)
- Initialize evaluation models
- Create necessary data directories
- Run a quick self-test
Expected output:
Initializing HRM components...
✓ Downloaded base models
✓ Created data directories
✓ Initialized evaluation models
✓ Self-test passed
HRM initialization complete! Ready to use.
Run the hybrid system with a simple problem:
python main.py --mode hybrid --goal "Find the prime factors of 1001"
To improve HRM evaluation with your existing solutions:
python train_hrm.py --data knowledge_base.json --epochs 10
-
Hybrid Mode (Recommended):
python main.py --mode hybrid --goal "your problem"
Uses HRM for initial evaluation, falls back to LLM for complex cases.
-
HRM-Only Mode (Fastest):
python main.py --mode hrm --goal "your problem"
Uses only local HRM evaluation (no API calls).
-
Classic Mode (Original ASI-GO-3):
python main.py --mode classic --goal "your problem"
Uses only LLM evaluation.
python main.py --mode hybrid --goal "Find all Pythagorean triples where all numbers are less than 20"
Expected behavior:
- HRM quickly evaluates simple solutions locally
- Complex edge cases verified with LLM
- Total time: ~30 seconds
python main.py --mode hybrid --goal "Implement binary search in Python"
Expected behavior:
- HRM recognizes common algorithm patterns
- Evaluates efficiency and correctness locally
- Total time: ~15 seconds
# First, solve some problems to build training data
python main.py --mode classic --goal "Sort a list" --save-training-data
python main.py --mode classic --goal "Find duplicates" --save-training-data
# Then train HRM on the collected data
python train_hrm.py --recent 10
The HRM provides multi-dimensional evaluation scores:
