🌿 Secure Erase for Android

Using AndroShred is simple and secure. Follow these steps to wipe your device’s free space:

Launch the app
Open AndroShred on your device. You’ll see a clean, dark-themed interface.

Adjust Block Size
Use the slider to set how large each data write block should be (in MB). Larger blocks may increase speed but require more memory.

Choose Wipe Mode
Select between:

Zeros: Overwrites free space with zeros (0x00)

Random: Overwrites with cryptographically random bytes

Start the Shredding Process
Tap the Start button. The app will begin securely writing to your device’s free space.

Monitor Progress

A progress bar shows real-time shredding percentage

Below it, a status message shows how much data has been securely overwritten (e.g., “150 MB written...”)

Stop Anytime
Tap the Stop button to safely halt the process. Partial progress is still valid — any written data is unrecoverable.

🧽 What Gets Wiped?

AndroShred targets free space on internal or external storage (like deleted files, cache leftovers). It does not touch your personal files or system partitions.

This helps prevent:

Recovery of deleted photos, videos, documents

Privacy leaks before selling or giving away your device

⚠️ Important Notes

Do not close the app while shredding

Avoid using your phone heavily during the process for best performance

For best results, run shredding after deleting sensitive files manually
