RangeBox

RangeBox

RangeBox is a volatility-based indicator for NinjaTrader that visualizes recent price ranges in relation to the Average True Range (ATR), helping traders assess market regime and potential movement targets. It calculates the highest high and lowest low over a configurable period, compares that range to ATR, and classifies volatility into four regimes: Neutral, Low Vol, Med Vol, and High Vol, based on user-defined thresholds.

The indicator also plots key horizontal levels within the high-low range—namely the high, 75%, mid (50%), 25%, and low levels—allowing traders to assess price positioning within the range.

DataBox

ATR (n) - Displays the ATR and period used.

HL Range (n) - Displays the high/low range and the period used.
