Simple, Fast and Lightweight command line tool to perform DoS attacks

Description

Tung is a command-line tool designed to help configure and test firewalls against various types of DoS attacks.

Key Features:

  • Provides a collection of common DoS attack techniques
  • Supports multiple network protocols:
    • ICMP
    • TCP
    • UDP
    • IP
  • Includes implementations of well-known attack methods:
    • Slowloris
    • BlueNurse
    • And others

Project Background:

  • Originally developed as a DoS module for Spongebot, a centralized TCP-based botnet
  • The name "Tung" is inspired by the viral Italian meme "Tung Tung Tung Tung Sahur"

Purpose:

  • Enable security professionals to test firewall resilience
  • Provide an educational tool for studying DoS attack vectors
  • Assist in developing effective mitigation strategies
