Basketborg is a quick decision-making 2D basketball text-adventure game where you play as a human enhanced with a robotic exoskeleton.
The game explores the theme of robot and balance, showing how technology can enhance — but not replace — human decision-making.
Play it on itch.io and learn more about the game.
In each round, the exoskeleton analyzes the situation and presents the success chance of three possible actions:
- Pass
- Shoot
- Dribble
Choose your move based on skill stats, strategic thinking and a touch of randomness.
- Accessibility-first: full keyboard support and voice narration via the Web Speech API.
- Responsive design: optimized for both desktop and mobile.
- Short but meaningful: quick play sessions with dynamic, impactful decisions.
- Open source: clone it, improve it or contribute to it!
This game was originally made for a game jam with the theme “Robot and Balance”, and challenges "Open Source" and "Build with Phaser". The theme of "robot and balance" is explored creatively: technology provides powerful support, but it’s not flawless. The game highlights how the balance between human skill and tech assistance is crucial — on the court and in real life.
