README: Probability-Manifold Framework

Overview:

This repository hosts the formal postulate list, appendices, and supporting material for the Probability-Manifold Framework—a speculative model that treats reality as a curved, n-dimensional probability field. Particles, forces, motion, and even consciousness appear as emergent trajectories through that field. Conventional physics treats probability as a statistical tool; this framework treats probability as the ontological substrate of physical reality.

Core Premise:

At its heart, the framework proposes that reality is not composed of particles in spacetime. It is composed of weighted configurations in an evolving curved probability manifold.

What we call:

  • Particles are local coherent peaks in the field
  • Motion is slope-following through curvature
  • Gravity is emergent from attractors in probability space
  • Decoherence is a topological boundary condition
  • Time is a derived measure of directional traversal
  • Consciousness is a recursive self-predictive attractor in the field

Testability & Predictive Claims:

The postulates yield falsifiable expectations:

  • Mesoscopic Born-rule deviation — From P-8 & P-9, slight probability departures should appear in future entangled optomechanical interferometers.
  • Speed of light re-interpreted — P-9 frames c as the maximum pace at which coherence can propagate through the probability manifold.
  • CMB as curvature after-glow — Appendix A-12 derives the microwave background as thermalised field curvature, not leftover radiation.
  • AI consciousness thresholds — P-10 – P-12 plus Appendix A-8 imply artificial systems that cross a local Φ threshold become curvature-stabilised observers, detectable via free-energy metrics.
