+- **Amazon Elastic Block Store**. Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) offers block-level storage for EC2 instances, acting like unformatted hard drives that can be mounted, configured, and persist independently of the instance's lifecycle. It's ideal for applications needing fast, long-term storage such as file systems, databases, and workloads with frequent or large-scale data access.
