Exhibition Curator

Exhibition Curator is a Spring Boot-based API service designed to help art enthusiasts discover digital artworks and curate personalized collections.

Getting Started

The following instructions will help you to run this project on your local machine for development and testing purposes:

  1. Clone the repository:
    git clone https://github.com/QWang00/exhibition-curator-api.git
  1. Navigate to the project directory:
    cd exhibition-curator-api
  1. Build the project:
    mvn clean install
  1. Run the application:
    mvn spring-boot:run
  1. Visit http://localhost:8080/api/v1
  2. To test the application:
    mvn test

Configuration

  1. Create a .env file in the root of the project
  2. Request your API key from Harvard Art Museum using the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfkmEBqH76HLMMiCC-GPPnhcvHC9aJS86E32dOd0Z8MpY2rvQ/viewform
  3. In the .env file assign your API to the harvard_museum_api_key
