MobileOS

Windows MobileOS is a community-driven project that brings a modern, mobile-like experience to Windows devices. Inspired by Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10X, it provides a lightweight and touch-friendly user interface built on top of UWP (Universal Windows Platform). MobileOS is designed to serve as an alternative shell for Windows, replacing the default desktop environment with a sleek, fluid interface optimized for tablets, handheld PCs, and experimental devices.

The project aims to recreate the simplicity and elegance of Microsoft’s discontinued mobile platforms while remaining compatible with current Windows builds. MobileOS supports launching UWP apps, live tiles, gesture-based navigation, and custom resolutions — making it ideal for embedded systems, low-RAM devices, or enthusiasts looking to revive older hardware.

Key Features:

Modern mobile-style interface built with UWP

Alternative shell for Windows 10/11

Inspired by Windows 10X and Windows 10 Mobile

Touch-optimized design

Compatible with ARM devices

Open and customizable
