Overview

The Resume Buddy application is a Streamlit-based tool designed to assist users in evaluating resumes against job descriptions using AI. It leverages Google's Generative AI to analyze resumes, provide feedback, and generate offer letters for top candidates.

How to Clone the Repository

How to Run the Application

  1. Install Dependencies: Ensure you have Python installed, then navigate to the project directory and install the required packages:

pip install -r requirements.txt 2. Set Up Environment Variables: Create a .env file in the root directory of your project and add your Google API key:

GOOGLE_API_KEY=your_api_key_here 3. Run the Application: Start the Streamlit server by running:

streamlit run app.py 4. Access the Application: Open your web browser and go to http://localhost:8501 to access the application interface.

Usage Instructions

  1. Paste the job description into the designated text area.
  2. Upload resumes in PDF format using the file uploader.
  3. Click on the "Submit" button to evaluate the resumes.
  4. Review the output for match percentages, missing keywords, and generated offer letters.
