- Download and install Play on Mac
- Download the RobotC .msi installer
- Open the Play on Mac application
- Click on "Install a Program"
- Run through the steps to install the program
When the program asks for a name for a virtual drive, type "ROBOTC"
Click on the "Configure Wine" check box when given the option and choose the 32-bit option.
When the program asks to install a program, choose the file that you downloaded in step 2
Just click "next" through all of the steps of the installer
- When the program asks to make a shortcut, choose "RobotC.exe"
- Choose the option to indicate that you want no further shortcuts in the next step
- When the installation is complete, single click the application shortcut in the menu
- Click on configure
- Choose the shortcut that you created in the menu that appears
- Click on the "+" icon next to the "Wine Version" dropdown menu
- In the 32-bit menu that opens, choose the wine version "3.20" from the left panel
- Click the arrow in the middle of the screen pointing towards the right panel
Follow all installation steps
- Return to the previous menu
- Choose "3.20" in the "Wine Version" dropdown menu
- Close the configuration menu
- Congratulations! You should be able to run the "RobotC" application on a Mac.
You should be aware of the fact that you cannot send code to your robot using this method, but almost all other functions work within the application.
