TailsUP is a cross-platform mobile application designed to connect pet owners with trusted individuals who are available to host or care for pets.
The app revolves around two core user roles:
- 🐾 Post a Pet – Users who need to find a safe and reliable host for their animal
- 🏠 Become a Host – Users who are available to take care of someone else’s pet
TailsUP provides a comprehensive set of features tailored for both pet owners and hosts, ensuring an engaging experience.
Users can explore available pets categorized into six distinct groups for faster browsing and easier matchmaking.
Pet owners have the ability to create detailed public listings to find a reliable host.
Each listing contains key pet information such as name, age, breed, description, and availability period.
Listings are stored under My Posts, where users can manage or remove them as needed.
Posts of interest can be bookmarked by users through the Favorites feature, allowing quick and convenient future access.
Each pet listing includes a comprehensive profile containing:
- Photo
- Name
- Breed
- Age
- Gender
- Weight
- Hosting period
- Short description
By selecting Host Me, users can initiate a direct conversation with the pet owner.
Messages are stored in a dedicated Inbox, enabling:
- Real-time communication
- Media sharing (e.g. pet photos)
- Discussion of care expectations and logistics
Once an agreement is reached, the host can send a hosting request, which automatically marks the post as unavailable to prevent overlapping offers.
