Quickly select tangent faces on your model with a single click
QuickSelect is a Fusion 360 add-in that simplifies the selection of tangent faces on your 3D models.
With one click, the tool automatically selects:
- All faces tangent to your initial selection
- Connected faces with continuous curvature
- Complex face chains without manual picking
This tool streamlines the selection of multiple faces for operations such as filleting, chamfering, or appearance modifications. It also enables efficient inclusion of faces in Avoid/Machine settings through Selection Sets, simplifying CAM workflow setup.
- Download latest
.ziprelease. - Extract the archive.
- Copy the add-on folder to the following directory:
%appdata%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\API\AddIns. - Open Fusion 360.
- Press
Shift + Sor go to Tools → Scripts and Add-Ins. - In the upper part of the window, click on the plus (
+). - In the Add-Ins dialog, choose
Link an App from Localto load your add-on directly from a local folder. Navigate to the folder where your add-on is located and select it. - Select the add-on from the list and click
Run. - To have the add-on run automatically at startup, check the
Run on Startupbox.
- QuickSelect works only on Windows.
- If the AddIns folder doesn't exist, create it manually.
- If the add-on doesn't run, try restarting Fusion 360.
- Go to the Design or Manufacture workspace in Fusion 360.
- Locate the Utilities tab.
- Click the dropdown arrow in the Select panel.
- Click the QuickSelect button.
- Select any face on your model.
- All tangent faces will be automatically selected.
- Perform your desired operation on the selection.
