Features

Theme Support

This app includes comprehensive dark and light theme support:

• Automatic System Theme Detection: The app automatically detects and follows your device's system theme
• Manual Theme Override: You can manually switch between light, dark, and system themes using the theme toggle button
• Persistent Theme Preferences: Your theme choice is saved and restored when you reopen the app
• Comprehensive Theming: All UI components automatically adapt to the selected theme

The theme toggle button is located in the top-right corner of both the Home and Explore screens.

Get started

1. Install dependencies

   npm install

2. Start the app

   npx expo start

In the output, you'll find options to open the app in a

• development build
• Android emulator
• iOS simulator
• Expo Go, a limited sandbox for trying out app development with Expo

You can start developing by editing the files inside the app directory. This project uses file-based routing.

Get a fresh project

When you're ready, run:

npm run reset-project

This command will move the starter code to the app-example directory and create a blank app directory where you can start developing.
